We are now in the era of lightweight, small footprint in-vehicle equipment, an era which can not be avoided even for hobby audio products. Bewith took the heaviest product among car audio systems and a power amplifier noted for its space requirements and boldly miniaturized them. As a result, the A-110S II is a reference unit for high-end amplifiers. First, the performance of the A-110S, with its solid long-term reputation as a monaural amplifier, was maintained. Then by using the world’s first all-magnesium alloy body, Bewith reduced the volume by one-quarter and the weight by one-fifth in an amazing work of downsizing to produce a new flagship power amplifier, the A-110S II. Using the A-110S circuit layout as a base, we added exclusive Bewith high quality sound devices developed jointly with New Japan Radio — the BSO4 op amp and the BD01 SiC diode, both specially designed for acoustics — to reach a new level of performance. Building on Bewith’s tradition of the Air Circuit concept, we carried forward and expanded the low heat generation and low power consumption and merged in the enriched musical feel that only an analog power amplifier can provide, without yielding to compromise, to create a small, lightweight design called for by the new era that is upon us.
