ZR Speaker Lab is a small company based in Slovenia, Europe. It is specialized in production of only High-end, hand-made speakers and audio devices made from the highest quality materials. The production is limited. It is well known worldwide for its unique sound and designs.

The company was founded in 1983 by Zvone Raspor. He has more than 30 years of experience in audio field.

Everything started with the speaker service, which gradually grew and turned into speaker modifications. Since then he repaired or modified more than 15 000 speakers and many other audio devices. This gave him a very a powerful insight into every possible problem or wish that customer has about the speakers

He was teaching the flute for more than 8 years, had his own band, and collaborated with many musical groups.

By doing this, he gained a profound knowledge about how real instruments and vocals should sound like. He learned many important things about sound that cannot be described by conventional parameters. That perfection of sound is brought to reality through his speakers..

ZR Entry 25 T is an entry-level Hand-Crafted tweeter with the sound-stage of a High-End speaker. It was specially designed to be very simple to use.

It is ideal for people who don't have a lot of knowledge about the electro-acoustic field, because it has a great sound regardless of the configuration of the system.

The speaker is made entirely by hand, which gives it a special feeling that mass-produced speakers just don't have. Besides its great design and feeling in hand, the speaker has an excellent sound. It has a typical, rich ZR-sound with a lot of details.

Its resonance-free housing is made from the combination of aluminum and stabilit. This gives the tweeter transparent sound-stage with minimum distortions. The cone is made from silk and was specially developed by ZR Speaker Lab just for this tweeter. This gives the speaker very accurate transmission of the transients and the sound-stage that is natural and so unique for the silk cones.

It is a perfect match in combination with ZR Entry 17MW. Both speakers work together in harmony, and give the impression that only one speaker is playing. The quality of the sound that ZR Entry 25 T produces simply cannot be matched by any other speaker in this price-range.

ZR 17MW is an entry-level Hand-Crafted mid-woofer with the sound-stage of a High-End speaker. It was specially designed to be very simple to use.

This speaker is ideal for people who don't have a lot of knowledge about the electro- acoustic field, because it has a great sound regardless of the configuration of the system. Its uniqueness is also that you can easily get great sound in small boxes.

ZR 17 MW has a very deep and controlled bass because of the soft mechanical clamping (rubber surround-spider) and firm cone made from fiberglass. The cone is impregnated with two different mineral coatings which give the speaker softer sound in the mid-range of the acoustic spectrum. Two coatings also decrease a break-up of the cone and eliminate parasitic resonances. This results in great transients, natural sound and deeper sound-stage.

Dust-cap is made from Kevlar and further reinforced with aluminum ring. This strengthens the cone in its neck area. Besides the mechanical advantages it also widens the mid-high range (up to 8000Hz), and make the sound more dispersed.

This speaker is a perfect match with the ZR Entry 25 T, but it also sounds great with other speakers. The quality of sound that ZR Entry 17MW produces simply cannot be matched by any other speaker in this price-range.

Cx2 is a two-way Hand-Crafted stereo passive crossover (optional dual mono). It has a regulation of high-pass volume level so the optimal volume level between speakers can be achieved.

Noble materials (stabilit, aluminum and brass) give this crossover unique look and natural feeling when it is held in hand.

The unique design doesn't stop at the outside. It is a crossover in the full meaning of the word, not just a full box of capacitors and coils. The primary focus is the quality of sound, so it is designed to give to the speakers exactly what they need; nothing more or less. Each cut of the crossover is the same as we would cut the real picture, and then glue it back together. This crossover makes the cuts almost invisible.

It also has specially chosen highest-quality polypropylene capacitors. Each-one is measured separately. The tolerance for capacitors is +/-1%. Each voice coil is hand-wound and also measured in precision of +/- 1%. The components of this crossover have been tested for years and many satisfied customers are still using them today.
